Wine is our philosophy of life or, one could say, our way of life. The supreme driving force behind four generations has been the experience, emotion and pleasure associated with wines and wine-growing. More than 150 Gold medals are witnesses to our ongoing search for quality. We turn to best account the rich diversity of the Rhone Valley and we seek for a perfect harmony between the type of grape and the particular qualities of the place where it is to be planted. With the passage of time, 25 hectares of outstanding vintage localities, from Salgesch to Chamoson, have come into the ownership of the family.
For Adrian and Rosmarie Mathier innovation and quality were constantly in the foreground of their considerations. Today their son Diego and his wife Nadia have successfully taken on the flourishing family business, bringing new ideas but remaining true to the well-established and trustworthy philosophy. Local varieties of grape, as well as others types grown internationally, are elaborated both in stainless steel tanks and in oak casks. Thus constant quality is maintained through the interplay between tradition and innovation.
